On Sunday I visited the 7th international tourism fair in Zagreb. Place2go is the biggest travel fair in Croatia that was created as an idea to provide modern travellers with interesting and useful information about domestic and international destinations.
Place2go takes place in the second half of March from Friday to Sunday. Friday is planned as a day for business visitors. Saturday and Sunday are the days when the fair is open to the public. Visitors can enjoy listening to different travel experiences of travellers, photographers and other “famous” people. There is different interactive content on stands through which visitors can compete to win prizes, inform themselves about destinations that they are interested in, taste or buy different food and drinks, etc.
I found out about this fair completely by accident and I think it was through a Facebook ad. Since then I am in love with it. Last year I attended Place2go for the first time but this year I stayed a bit disappointed with the offer. A lot of exhibitors (around 200 of them) were the same as the last year, people that worked at the stands didn’t put their effort to interact with visitors. I wish there are more international countries that are representing themselves but I guess Place2go is not fully discovered by others yet.
I mostly attend this fair because of the interesting panels that are offered to visitors. You can learn a lot just by listening to other peoples experiences when it comes to travel. The speakers talk about some tips and tricks about booking their flights, stay and etc. They share the positive and negative things that they have been through.
